Welcome to Trail Junky!

My Name is Justin Moore and I have been interested in nature since I was a child. I grew up hunting, fishing, and playing in the woods on my family’s property in rural Indiana. Since 2010 I have had an interest in hiking and backpacking but have been pursuing it on a more intimate level since moving to Minnesota in 2015.

I decided to start Trail Junky to share my thoughts and experiences with the online community and hopefully facilitate healthy discussion and inspire others to get out and explore wonderful wild places.

My Goals for Trail Junky are to,

1. Share my experiences and help others on their journey in ultralight backpacking.
2. Be a place were gear nerds like myself can discuss gear and outdoor skills.
3. Educate and inspire new hikers and backpackers to Leave No Trace in the backcountry.
